Recovery Connections Sober Living Homes is an independent (501c3) organization that became a non-profit in November 2021, although we have been in existence since 2018. The Recovery Connections Sober Living Homes program offers a structured recovery housing environment where residents can live in a supportive, home-like setting while working in the community and building a solid recovery foundation. Each home has a house manager responsible for monitoring compliance and residents' progress.
Founded in 2018 and becoming a non-profit in 2021, Recovery Connections operates independently but continues to benefit from the guidance of James Stewart, PhD, the former program director from The UP Foundation. The program requires mandatory substance use counseling and encourages peer support and accountability through regular house meetings and 12-Step meetings. Capable of housing 14 male residents, with plans to open a female home in August 2024, Recovery Connections emphasizes a positive peer culture and accountability. As of April 2024, the program has served 97 residents, with 64% maintaining long-term recovery. Recovery Connections is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for recovery, believing in each resident's potential for success.
